The primary blogger here is Logan and I am married to an excellent, amazing, beautiful wife, Amber and the Lord has blessed us with 2 boys, Eli, he’s 2 and 1/2, and Calvin, who is 7 months.
We live in Austin, Tx and are partners at The Austin Stone Community Church. We love our church and are primarily involved with the college students who attend. Amber disciples a handful of girls and I am the director of community for the college ministry, which may sound fancy, but essentially means, I lead our coaches, who lead our small group leaders, who lead the students. That was supposed to clear things up…
I work for HNTB Corp., a consulting engineering firm, where I focus on Transportation Engineering, designing roads in the state of texas. Amber stays home with the boys and is far more amazing at being a mom than she would ever admit.

Hey, Logan!
I got here from your post on Jerry Vines’ blog RE: drinking. You made a good point that I did not see answered on the blog, so I thought I would give my two cents.
Building an exegetical case for total abstinence is difficult. I think it is easy, though, from basic principles. The first thing that strikes me is that these discussions abound, therefore, it is a questionable practice and the smart thing is to err on the side of caution. God will never demand an answer as to why I did not down a brewski at the ball game. He might ask me why I did. To avoid that, I won’t.
Anyway, this is not a theological blog, so let me just say I enjoyed the pics of your vacation. My three boys are grown, and seeing Calvin and Eli brought a smile.
Thanks,
Jim

Hey dude! Been a while since our old BC LL days. Turns out we both are doing bi-vocational ministry now. Great to see you are immersed in knowing Christ and making Him known. I’d love to talk sometime if you want to catch up.
